License Your Dog

Dogs six months and older are required to be licensed. It’s the law.

Online dog registration is available from October 15th to January 31st of each year. You may do this through the Online Dog Licensing & Renewal Service. 

New dog licenses can also be obtained at the Town Office during regular business hours. Please bring proof of the rabies vaccination and spay/neutering. The cost is $6 and $11, respectively.

All dog licenses expire December 31st of each year. You may renew your dog license anytime between October 15th and January 31st. You must renew your dog license no later than January 31st of each year, or a $25.00 State mandated late fee will be charged.

• Local Animal Control Officers and State Humane Agents
• Investigation of animal cruelty complaints and enforcement of animal welfare laws
• Compliance with rabies vaccination of dogs
• Care for sick and injured stray animals
• Return of lost dogs to their owners
