Vital Records: Birth, Marriage, Death Certificates and Marriage Licenses

Certified copies of Birth, Marriage, and Death records are available at the Thomaston Town Office. The cost is $15 for the first copy and $6 for each additional copy of the same certificate purchased at the same time. You may come into our office or request by mail.

How do I request a copy?
Please follow the instructions below or stop by the Town Office in-person

1) Download and complete the application below.

2) Indicate the number of copies you would like (cost is $15 for the first copy and $6 for each additional copy of the same certificate)

3) Attach a photocopy of your photo identification.

4) Include a self-addressed business-size stamped envelope.

5) Make check or money order payable to the Town of Thomaston.

6) Mail printed form, other documents listed above and payment to:

*Marriage Licenses are only done on Wednesdays 8am-12pm by appointment only. 

Please call ahead to make an appointment and get information on any additional documentation you may require.

It is also recommended to have application completed and delivered to the clerk's office prior to appointment.
